The World Is Trash!!!!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 

A lot of Christians and pastors confuse and misconstrue the context of this verse, so as I write this blog let me put it right, when the Bible mentions the world it mentions the things of this world, it's not necessarily saying the whole wide world is bad because God made the world so how can it all be bad? But if I'm honest a lot of things are garbage and are detrimental to our faith.


"So Ayo what in the world is bad?" Romans 12 talks about the things of this world that can corrupt, ruin and be toxic to a Christian so things like some music, cultural traditions, sexual immoral things like porn, nude culture and promiscuity, so anything that contradicts and goes against the word of God is bad, and we need to cut off!! I can go on until 2025 with all the worldly things we need to stop. With God He wants our all not 17, 79 or 99℅. The thing is, including me is that when we come/came to God we still had the roots of this world like addictions, those romantic partners that take/took us away from God and many other bad rooted habits in this world. I don't want to judge or condemn because no one is perfect, like I said I have my own struggles and there are many things I need to cut off. I know God willing, I'll cut off a lot of worldly roots I have, and you guys can too unless that's not what you want. 


As I mentioned last week 1st Corinthians 10:21, God says we cannot drink the cup of Satan and His cup at the same time, meaning we can't be lukewarm. I know many Christians struggle with this, that's why this topic is hard to talk about because it offends & triggers those who are in this position. But as I say we are here to hold each other accountable not throw stones at each other's glasshouses. Remember when Lucifer was kicked out of heaven he was sent to earth, this world is his playground and we need to discern what is Godly and what is worldly, and I'm not jumping on this bandwagon that if the content is not from the church, gospel or Christian, then it's bad, this is being fanatic and generalizing and this is a terrible hot take, not all non-Christian content is of the devil and not all of it we should heavenly indulge in either this is why discernment and balance is key.

Spiritual Priorities

If you ask me "what's the main principle of being a Christian?" I would tell you it's to put God and the things of God FIRST!!!!!!! But this is the thing that I don't see much of Christians in this era, most of us don't value our spiritual priorities or sadly don't have any. What do I mean by spiritual priorities? It's how we prioritize the things of God and how we serve God in our day to day lives. This is what saddens me, slowly and slowly many Christians put God and their faith as the last thing on their list of priorities. There's always an excuse why we didn't go to church, why we didn't pray, why we don't seek or fast and so on and so on, because we put our lives, the things of this world and our busy schedules before God. Okay it doesn't help that we live in the era of technology and demanding work and commitment schedules in life but surely if we serve a great God surely we can make time for him in a 24 hour day??? The Spirit Of Disobedience
