Is It Wrong To Party or Rave?

Image
There has always been this life-long debate in Christianity if partying is a sin? Some will say yes, some will say no but the real question is are you accused when you party? What does your discernment say when you rave?  To answer this question my answer is it depends on the context, for example, if you're a Christian who does photography, steward or works in a rave then no you're not, because you are working for money, but if you go to these environments to indulge in womanising, drugs, fornication and partying to the music of this world then yes as  Matthew 5:30  comprehends if something causes you to sin then you cut it off. Like I say to Christians if you're asking if something is sin ask yourself what does your conviction or the Holy Spirit tell you when you take part in these activities?  Topic's like this are very complex and diverse because there's no definitive answer, it's down to your conscience, your conviction, my personal opinion is that I'd a...

Our Faith Will Be Tested Through Temptation And Persecutions

Image
Christians have this silly notion that when you give your life to God, that life becomes easy. On the contrary, when you become a Christian life will become tough, everyone from the devil to family, even customers at your workplace will treat you unjustly, tempt, and persecute you.  There's always a testing time in anything when a restaurant becomes busy on a Saturday night when the villain is dominating the hero in the action film, it's not so different with a Christian is going through a difficult moment, Job, Gideon and even Abraham were tested and they overcame they may have lost battles to win the war but they overcame I'm not saying you will be the next Jesus or Gideon because I don't believe in this "name it, claim it" jargon but I do believe in being inspired by these stories and finding your testimony in testing times, pressure makes diamonds so let's are 24-carat ones or Cuban Links.  Being persecuted, tested, tempted is part and parcel of our fa...

Is it Church Hurt Or You Didn't Want To Be Held Accountable?

Image
Is it Church Hurt Or You Didn't Want To Be Held Accountable?    So He said to him,  “Why do you call Me good?   No one  is  good but One,  that is,  God.  But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18  He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said,  “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’   19  ‘Honor your father and  your  mother,’  and, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ” 20  The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth.  What do I still lack?” 21  Jesus said to him,  “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. I had a "friend" the apostrophe meaning they're no long...

Forgiving Yourself

Image
The devil does this thing where he accuses us of our past sins, transgressions and mistakes, but thank God for grace, 2nd Timothy 1:9 as well as for not forgiving others who wronged us. Not forgiving yourself is just as bad.  Forgive yourself for being lazy, forgive yourself for hurting those around you, forgive yourself for anything you're beating yourself up about, accountability is one way so is begging God for forgiveness, we all have the chance to be redemptive you are not the same person you were yesterday. We have the chance to be new again in Christ!  We can't live in our shadow forever, we can't beat ourselves up and have pity parties, when you look at the story of Jesus, Judas who later on betrayed took his own life because the guilt was too much, Matthew 27:3-5 but he had many chances but did not take it, today every day is chance to be new, to make things right you made a mistake learn from it, you sinned work on not sinning again and forgive yourself!!! We ar...

Christianity Has Failed Many Demographics We Have Not Followed The Way Of The Good Samaritan

Image
The word says to go out and spread the gospel Mark 16:15 , it also says to love your neighbour, Mark 12:31 , as yourself so why is it we are in a generation where Christianity is doing neither? We've let down black people we approved the slavery law and when it comes to black issues and racial injustice we're complicit, we've let down women where sexism and misogyny are rife in the church where oppression on them is as high as ever, and we've let down those who are from the LGBTQ and those who have mental health. The church is meant to be a lifeline for the hopeless a voice for the voiceless but yet for political reasons or lack of care the church fails to help many people this is wrong, blood will be on our hands if we don't bring hope, resolution and faith to these people but yet all the church does is demonise these issues and come with lazy solutions like "just pray and focus on salvation issues"  Read your Bible women were used to fight for equal righ...

Social Media Detox Challenge

Image
I challenge all Christians to take a social media break and concentrate on their faith. In modern-day times as much as there's fornication, greed and the lusts of this world, social media is another form that is blocking a Christian's spiritual life.  "But why are you telling us this Ayo? Social media is a bit of fun" Just to emphasise on my beginning statement, social media which can be a great ally, can also be a sworn enemy, with false doctrines being spread on line, hours of scrolling on hot topics and people's posts for hours on end social media can be a hindrance and may lead you to have an addiction to it, which is a sin called gluttony that's mentioned in Romans 13:14 , so my challenge whether you choose to accept as it's not by force is to take a social media detox it can be as long as you like, it can be a day, a week or month I do 3 weeks, 3 or 4 times a year and the way God speaks to me is so clear, so many revelations. So instead of scrollin...

The More We Invest, The More We Are Close To God

Image
With anything in life, we need to invest heavily to be good at, be successful and be great at something, entrepreneurs investing in more business to get richer, athletes investing more time in training themselves to be at the top of their game, so as Christians we need to be very invested in our faith.  In what ways can we invest in our faith?  . Going to church. . Reading your Bible. . Fasting.  . Fellowshipping in your weekday Bible study and being part of the Christian union in your workplace, university or college. Praying consecutively every day.  Watching and reading Christian content.  . Evangelising Jesus to people.  The mistake many believers make is that we believe going to church is enough, it's the be-all and end-all, but it's not the same way we need to find our body with food and drink, the same notion we need to have in our spiritual the more we invest the more spiritually strong we are, I'm not saying be fanatic, extreme and overzealous like...
