Stop Judging

Stop Judging Others – The Impact

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Matthew 7. 1 - 5

Everyone serves God differently and that's ok that's what makes us unique, you read the Bible from a hard copy, people use an app so what? People are sleeping around in the lusts of fornication while someone like me and you who are keeping ourselves to marriage so what? You go to church some people watch sermons from online streaming so what? You're in your churches youth group, choir or catering group while others go home and are not active in their church so what? Everyone's journey is different, this is a marathon to salvation not a sprint of the Pharisees and perfect believers. Lets come of our high horses, holier than though stand point and self righteous ways and stop judging others! Stop judging the celebrity in a scandal, lets stop looking at close ones who indulge in sin and lets stop coming for those whose lifestyles goes against the Bible.

Where is the grace? Where is the patience? Where is the love? Why are we quick to condemn? Why do we like to "cancel" others? Yh I have time today because us Christians should not be partaking in canceling someone. Cancelling culture is not of God and goes against God and the Christian DNA. We are  ALL short of God's grace and His mercy why should someone's life be in disarray till they die and have their careers destroyed because they made a mistake? Yes the Bible says don't spare the rod Proverbs 13: 24. To those who don't know what this verse means, it simply means that you don't spare someone from accountability or punishment. If someone commits a crime they should be punished by the law, if you doing things in the dark then it'll come to light as mentioned in Luke 12:3, I'm not here justifying anyone;s wrong doing as every action will have reaction, what we put in, we will get out.  With what's going on social media with those being exposed for past crimes/ actions they made and with grime artist Wiley, let's have mercy and grace when someone is the wrong, lets correct and not condemn the same way we gossip and stone other's lets have the same energy in praying for them.

As someone who struggles with not judging people and someone who in my past was quick to cancel people, I learnt that the same way I judge and canceled people the same way God will give me that judgment as it says in Matthew 7 1-3. God gives us a chance to repent, God gave us redemption and God can cancel us but He does not, why didn't he cancel Adam and Eve when they ate the apple? Why didn't God cancel David, Moses or Solomon? Because everyday we are alive is a day to unlearn, a day to change, a day to repent. A leopard can change it's spots, a cheater is not always a cheater and a criminal will not always be a criminal. Read your Bible from front to cover, from Genesis to Revelations is all rags to riches stories, the Holy book is all about people having a 2nd to a million chances and people changing from their past. So let's stop judging, stop cancelling and lets stop condemning because it's not what Christianity is about.
