There's Lack Of Good Samaritans In Christianity

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’[b]
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbour?”
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbour to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
As we remember and dwell on the parable of the good Samaritan, it really relates to today's selfish society, how many times do we see someone laying on the floor bleeding to death, a beggar asking for money and we walk past them as if they are chewing gum at the bottom of our shoe or someone who has just been robbed and we let the robber get away, and yet most of us especially Christians sadly enough do nothing or even worse record and post it on social media? We need to be good Samaritans, and help others this was the basis of Jesus ministry, He helped people and like I always say its compulsory in our Christian walk to help others. The best testimony we can show in our faith is helping someone in need but sadly enough it's what we're lacking, let's be honest with ourselves how many times in this past month have we been asked for help and we made an excuse not to? I can say I've done this and I feel bad but yet many of us we don't have no concious. Three people walked past the man and did nothing, while it took the good Samaritan to help him. Lets start doing small gestures because you never know what a favour can do for someone even if we don't feel like it. Even though we live in society where our help and care is not valued and people take advantage, that shouldn't matter because it's about giving, God will honour our deeds not man, we don't need validation and gratitude for something that should be done in our spiritual DNA, remember when Jesus healed those 10 men who had leperocy and only one came back, Luke 17:11-19 I can imagine Jesus being so vex that the other 9 were not even grateful but that one man came back to worship and His job was done. This is why we have to be always helping people because if our Lord does it why not more so us where it can lead many to Christ? My pastors always teach us that IF you are saved, you have the desire to help and save others as we are saved, if we are selfish and don't have the zeal to be loving then our Christianity has to be questioned because how can we follow a God of love but yet there's no love in us? It doesn't make any sense.
