How To Have Strong A Relationship With God

Many who are new in the faith or are seasoned veterans in the Christendom don't know how to have a relationship with God maybe due to ignorance, been taught the wrong doctrines or just want to do their own will, here are 4 tips on how you can have a strong relationship with God;

Worshipping in a church or online sermons: There's always this debate of whether going to church is important or not, which I'll breakdown in a separate blog but it's either we find a local church to worship in or worship online via a church stream. In Matthew 18:20 states when worshiping with others God is thereIf we aren't doing this how do we learn the things of God? One must be doing some sort of worship, having a sabbath which is a particular time of a certain day to worship for a few hours. As Mark 2:27  declares "And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."

Holding Ourselves Accountable: Businesses, brands and athletes only improve themselves when they hold themselves accountable on where they go wrong and their weaknesses as Christians we should follow this model & humble ourselves and asses our flaws, wrongs and sins as we are accountable to God Romans 14:12 because if we don't we become proud, rebellious and stubborn like Lucifer was and got kicked of heaven as it states in Isaiah 14 We won't get kicked out per-say but we slowly lose our salvation, the Holy Spirit and grow weak in our faith if we don't hold ourselves accountable.

Staying Away From Sin: Sin leads to death as this is quoted in James 1:5 when we flee from sin we become hot in our faith if we live in or entertain sin we are lukewarm or cold both are a shame to God for the holy scriptures utter Revelations 3:16 we flee sin by going to the root of sin and eradicating it for example someone who has an addiction to let's say porn, will delete all pornographic content they own or go seeking some sort of therapy and discipline themselves from not ever going on porn again.

Doing Your Devotion: Devotion is a set time we must spend with God such as praying, reading the scriptures and seeking the Holy Spirit. Many believe this is only done in the church, which is wrong!!!!! Devotion must be done at home too as it helps us get close to God as Jame's 1:22-27 vocalizes "

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless."

Honorable Mentions: other things that can help our relationship with God is;

. Fasting.

. Having elder church members/authorities who hold you accountable and mentor you.

. Consuming Christian content.

. Being involved in the groups of your church.

Many Christians believe that having a relationship with God is doing 1 thing and neglecting the other 99 things, this is where Satan likes to many and think they're making progress when they're not, it's like making pancake you need the egg, sugar, flour and milk if you miss one ingredient it's no longer a pancake, it's just a failed recipe you need all the contents this is the same with our relationship with God we need all the pieces to complete the puzzle because when one or few are missing it can't be complete or work.
