How To Be A Husband/Partner Of God
"Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control" 1 Corinthians 7:1-40
As we live in times where men are not men, it's very sad to say more of us men are not following God's way of becoming a good partner to our spouses, whether we are abusing, cheating or even worse neglecting our partners which many men in positions even in ministry do, I was touched to this because a lot of us men need to follow the ways of God to be a partner of God and not what the world say's we should be because all they teach us is toxic masculinity and womanizing's here are tips on how we can be partners of God to our women.
. Don't Neglect Your Women: Make sure you're not neglecting your woman give her attention, communicate, take her on dates, ask her how her day was, support her as we all know stories, where leaders and pastors in the church neglect their partners because their mind is too focused on the ministry, remember charity starts at home. Even if you don't have a title in church this still applies as your woman should be getting attention from us.
. Stop Cheating/Don't Cheat!!!!!! We all know adulatory is a serious sin were even looking at a woman is lustful as Matthew 5:28 says, adultery is not only in marriage contrary to popular belief. So let's respect our women there's no need to entertain other women whether it's at work or on social media, there's no need to be making new friends with the other sex, we wouldn't like it if they did it so let's treat them as we would like to be treated as the word states love your neighbor's as we love ourselves. Mark 12:31
. Be Held Accountable: A man who is meek and humble holds himself accountable 1st Peter 5:6. A lot of us men our downfall is that we think we know it all as we are too proud like sorry to say that's why Satan was kicked out of heaven Isiah 14. If you make your partner feel a way apologize and do better if we are wrong make it right.
. Communicate: last but not least let's communicate the main problem with a lot of us men are is that we don't communicate our issues and we move passive which makes problems worse, if you have an issue with your woman speak up!!!!! If you're busy tell her lol communicate another reason why there's a breakdown in relationships, marriages and there's so much divorce in many years because of lack of communication. So as men let's speak up and lead accordingly as God has called us to.
To conclude this week's blog, not that we are better than non-Christian men, but if we know better we do better as we are filled with God's spirit and know His Word, we should move accordingly with our partners we all want a Proverbs 31 wife, but how many of us ready to be a man like Noah and Abraham was? Bar the mistake Abraham made. We want our wives, girlfriend's to be like Rachel but who's ready to put the work in like Jacob did in Genesis 29? Let's be the standards that we look for in our women.
