Becareful What You Listen To

Image
13  “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14  I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17  Sanctify them by [ d ] the truth; your word is truth. 18  As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19  For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.   As you read John chapter 17, you realize Jesus praying for the world, and praying that even though we live in the planet we are not like everyone else, we are Christians that must stand out, not blend in with the world. And listening to the music of this world can actually harm your spiritual life.  Through ou...

Top Distractions In Church

Image
As you can see from the verse up top we must pursue God and draw up our sword (courage/determination) and serve Him to the best we can. But that's more and more harder in this day and age with our flesh become stronger, gadgets, social media and are hectic lives in the way. Even more so when we come to church, here are my top disturbances in church and how to keep focused when you're in house of the Lord. 1. Coming Late For me I feel as if I've murdered someone when I've come late to church the conviction I get, which is a very bad habit in our walk, it shows God there's no effort in our walk yes things happen, but I'm talking about those who come on purpose and do it constantly, coming late distracts other members as they see to wonder who came in late, it's even more annoying where the person who comes late, does a fashion walk to the nearest seat at the front which again throws everyone's attention off. To avoid this if you're coming late ...

The Worst Rejection Ever

Image
We all know that feeling of rejection too well, that company that said they won't hire you, being friendzoned or the sports coach telling you, you never got into the team and all sorts of rejection. That is a walk of life that we have to endure, which should motivate us Christians to strive and do better, but to die and for the Lord to reject you, that will be the worst ever!!!!!!!!!!!! As it says in the above verse many people will debate and claim they went to church, they read the bible they did A to B in their church. But that is not enough, we have to have a relationship with God, we have to born of water and the Spirit of God, we have to be consistent in our walk, that's what defines our faith. Many (Christians) are "Lost in the sauce" as they say, yes some of us go to church and do their Christians deeds but are far from the faith, many are in the world then in church, that's why very few will be saved, and left behind when He comes back. "This is ju...

The Invisible Enemy

Image
Why's it that as Christians some or even most of us, we love to quarrel? We quarrel with love ones, we quarrel with each others faiths, we are always fighting someone when we are taught to love, even though they are the opposition we have to love our neighbors as we love ourselves Mark 12:31 . Having said that like I always emphasize our issue is with Satan and his army not close ones, that annoying colleague or who ever opposes us in this life. It's a spiritual war we are fighting not a physical ones so lets stop beefing and lets violate the devil as he is the one troubling you. Sometimes it's not even the person opposing you its Satan using them to get to you.(A trick that normally gets many Christians me in included.) One thing I noticed is that I take things personal and I'm very argumentative (well used to be lol.) How does that look on my testimony if I'm known for having enemies? That's why these days I pray or try to defuse the situation because we nee...
