Pray For Others

Image
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16 We live in a society where it's dog eat dog, and as a Christian there's no love lost in our community where we focus on ourselves, giving God our wish list like He is Santa Clause. Yes we want blessings, answers and healing but what we forget is to pray for others.  We must pray for everyone and anyone, pray for your family, friends, associates, relatives, children's, nieces/nephews, colleagues, the boss who get on your nerves, the customer/client who grinds our gears even our enemies. As I type this I look with regret because I forgot to do that this morning, (Yes I'm guilty you can kill me lol.)   We live in time's where we're in pandemic, suicides are going up unfortunately, unemployment has risen and thing's have been harder and harder with 2020 being the year to forget, even though fr...

Lockdown Has Hurt My Faith

Image
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.  Ephesians 4:25 Last month I celebrated 15 years in the faith, but it's been anything but champagne glasses, cheers, smiles and party celebrations. I'm at the weakest I've ever been typing this, I even missed church today and the past 3 weeks. I'm writing this piece so that we as Christians stop hiding behind a facade and admit we have struggles, we cry, we get sad and we get depressed. Let's get professional help, let's use our faith let's use the story of Job as inspiration. We are Christians not robots, IT'S OK TO NOT BE OK SOMETIMES, but let's fight and let God do His power and heal us. For too long we've hid behind the terrors behind mental health and depression, while the government, society and even the church have not done much.  It's time we stand in arms and kick it in it's butt and stand in victory l...

Stop Judging

Image
1   “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.   2   For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.   3   “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?   4   How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?   5   You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Matthew 7. 1 - 5 Everyone serves God differently and that's ok that's what makes us unique, you read the Bible from a hard copy, people use an app so what? People are sleeping around in the lusts of fornication while someone like me and you who are keeping ourselves to marriage so what? You go to church some people watch sermons from online streaming so what? You're in your c...

You Don't Have To Lose Your Identity When You Come To Christ

Image
A lot of Christians have an identity crisis when they come to God, before you get offended and start calling me Satan, please read this blog before you get outraged like the Twitter Brigade who want to cancel everyone and anyone. But I can't be cancelled nor can anyone, as grace and favor cancels such **flicks imaginary weave** but that's a topic for another day. And if you do read this blog and think I'm shaking tables please forward this and make a complaint to my bishop. So when I meant some believers lose their identity, I mean we can become boring, performative and believe we have to change ourselves, i.e stop listening to music, only listening to gospel which is not bad but it can be fanatic because not all mainstream music is satanic, they're in church more and forget other commitments, forcing Christianity on others or the one I hate the most seeing us Christians do always over talking about the Bible and the things of God on our social media's ahhhhh ev...

My Top 5 UK Gospel Mc's

Image
Welcome to the second part of My Top 5 Series, today I'll be writing about my top 5 Christian MC’s in the UK. How I ranked these guys is on how they've pioneered the scene and their technical ability in my opinion. Many Christians look down on the Christian urban scene which I think is wrong and ignorant, but if we cannot glorify God in rap or grime then maybe we shouldn't listen to Christian in soul, rock or jazz format, but hey what do I know? Like I said before and I'll say again the Spirit has to convict you on what music we must & can’t listen to, plus we must do things in moderation and protect our faith so with out further a do here are my top 5 MC's.  Hope Dealers The controversial entry out of the Top 5 lol, the South London collective from Hornton Theath are more in the headlines for controversy then spreading the gospel, a lot of us may disagree with how they and their spiritual establishment (Who we all know but I will not name) worship G...

My Top 5 Christian U.S Rappers

Image
So as I put on my social media I will be doing something completely different with my Christian blogs, I will be doing a top 5 series, of my favorite gospel US rappers and UK MC's and overall gospel artists & I will be doing my top 5 disturbances in a sermon to round of the series. As you know I start my blogs with a scripture but for most of this series I will be giving you an insight of the Christian music I listen to. What inspired me to this is as you know, well those of you who follow me on Snapchat. I send snaps of my favorite tracks and I get people asking what song was that as they liked it and up downloading the songs. Just as I like sharing the gospel, I like plugging my peoples with great Christian music too, sometimes I think I'm the Tim Westwood or DJ Jazzy Jeff of the gospel scene lol.  Down the years in my walk there's always been this debate if we or we should not listen to secular or mainstream music. My answer is to that is the Spirit has to convic...

Highway To Hell Part 2 The Believers Edition

"Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Matthew 7: 21-23 Disclaimer: this is a fictional story of what the after life could be like if we are not careful with our salvation this is not to judge, attack or criticize anyone. Folake Adeleke 24 died on February 23rd at 11.04 pm of an drug overdose from a night out with friends. Her soul enters the kingdom of heaven where there's a long que where souls are awaiting their judgement. Folake smiles with joy as she believes she's going to heaven, but is she?  God: Folake Funke Bisi Adel...
