Why The "Leaving The Presence of God" Gospel Is Very Triggering

Image
I've been nearly a Christian for nearly 18 years and I've seen this toxic gospel of outcasting ex-Christians who have left the faith why do we as Christians have this petty and problematic behaviour? Why are we being spiteful to those who left the presence of God instead of us trying to bring them back?  We as Christians know how the story goes or maybe this has happened to you, someone leaves the church/Christian group chat/forum or the faith altogether is isolated and alienated by those who are still in that Christian institute whether it's blocking their number, cutting them off, unfollowing them of all social media platforms and last but not least pastors making sly jabs at them in their sermons, we are called to help and save the lost not chastise them as if they did some heinous crime of the face of the earth, imagine Jesus not helping or healing the criminals and problematic people of His time because they were considered immoral by their society when He was here i

Purity Gospel Is Problematic!

Image
There's never been such a problematic gospel as the purity gospel, there's been all sorts of problematic and terrible doctrines but nothing as problematic as this one.  What is the purity gospel? A gospel that teaches you the more you abstain and refrain from fornication and sexual acts the "better" you are than those who who have taken part in those things, yes we must abstain and prepare ourselves for marriage as the scriptures say, but we also shouldn't have an inferiority complex over those who are not abstaining. It has also been an issue in the Christian community when Christian couples or married couples have had a lack of desire for each other purity gospel has taught us that affection or sex is so bad that Christian married couples have suffered. Sex is not a bad thing it was given to us by God unfortunately society and the devil have perverted it doesn't mean we should stigmatize hence why I'm so against the purity gospel!  How do we combat purit

Losing Your Religion

Image
I watched an interview with iconic gospel singer Kirk Franklin once, and he said to get closer to God he had to lose his religion. and I got what he said he wasn't talking about the religion James 1 talks about he was talking about man-made, routine religion.  What is man-made routine religion? A religion that makes you serve God on autopilot, you only do what the church says, you follow the doctrine that has nothing to do with God you pray in the same, lethargic and cliche way & you fast in the same, lethargic and cliche way, God wants to have a faith where it's not robotic, not routine because organised and routine religion takes us far from God.  For this reason, Jesus called out the religious Christians, when He was here on earth because they were doing the things as I mentioned in the previous paragraph plus being performative. Our faith needs to be a lamp that's burning for the fire that's mentioned in the Old Testament , how do we do this? Knowing the word fo

Spiritual Deconstruction

Image
The day I heard this time my faith changed forever, what is spiritual deconstruction? Do I have to be a new Christian? Do I have to start again? In today's blog, I'll describe what this term means and how we can deconstruct our faith.  What is spiritual deconstruction? It's termed coined by the American modern-day church where they teach Christians, ways we can rethink, unlearn and be reborn so we can have better and stronger faith and a stronger relationship with God, for example when your old shoes/trainers are full of hole's and broken you replace them, old buildings need to be renovated so they can last longer and look better, as Christians we need to be deconstructing our faith, we can do this by unlearning toxic Christian traditions such as abandoning ex-church members, judging certain demographics of society, getting baptised again if you went back to sin, finding a better way to worship those are one of the ways we can deconstruct our faith. I deconstructed my

God Doesn't Need His Content To Be Trendy And Cool To Attract The Masses

Image
We as Christians need to come out of this mindset of thinking we have to be like the world to attract the world, yes this model may work in the advertising and marketing world it doesn't work with the spiritual things such as making spiritual content.  Christians think we need a Christian Love Island, Christian Breakfast Club or whatever the world makes we must make to get as many people as possible to God, even gospel music has taken this cliche route to many gospel artists sounding like Migo's, Drake or Beyonce, this Is not what God want's!!!!! God wants us to be authentic, empathetic and enthusiastic when we are making content for Him! Yes, we can take ideas and concepts from secular content but we shouldn't try to be exactly like secular content!  Today's blog is not all for believers it's mainly for Christian who create content for the kingdom of God!!! Jesus didn't confirm what was hot and popular when He was on this earth so why should we? This is w

There's no unity with Christians on social media

Image
One of the biggest gripes that I have with being a Christian and social media is that there's a lack of unity within the Christiandom, if it's not debated about what a believer can or can't do in the bedroom when married, it's arguments about whose denominations are better or if we like Pr Mike Todd or not, what happened to follow the verse in Mark 12:31 where it says to love all our neighbours? It's like we purposely want to fight each other on Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat, Christianity is a movement inspired by God to bring people together to worship God as one body, whether we are Pentecostal or 7-Day Adventist, whether we have our Sabbath on Saturday or Sunday, just like there are different types of trainers, boxers or food, different types of Christians believe different things or serve God differently and that's ok!!!! What is not ok is to beef each other and have civil wars like it's a Marvel movie that's what the devil wants us to do!!!!! That&

You Left The Church Because People Gossiped About You But Didn't Leave When Co-Workers Did

Image
How many of us, or how many people do we know left the church because of gossip or any other offence but when our family or work place did a similar thing we forgave or never left our job?  I'm not here to dismiss or justify anyone's Church hurt but why is it we are quick to leave the church, but we'll still support the sports team who let us down, the family members who hurt us or the work place who treats us in justly Why as we young people say "are not keeping the same energy?" Yes there's members or Christians who were molested, sexually and spiritually abused and their case is justified and we know it's very tough to bring their souls back to God but this blog is for those who left the church for petty reasons such as gossiping, being held accountable on any other silly reason people leave.  I personally feel people use God/the church as scape goats, and it just shows their hearts were never in God, if the Devil can use any petty reason to make you le
