  As I was looking for a verse for this week's blog this verse stood out to me, as I read in another blog that God has to rebuke, correct and humble the church, just to put us in our place, to show we aren't perfect, sometimes as Christians we are proud and arrogant and why do I say this? Because we as Christians keep debating on who has the best church in the world? But there's no such thing  In Revelations 2:5 the 7 churches in Asia were rebuked and held accountable because they got complacent, & thought they were doing well, until they were rebuked, and this is what I see today we get complacent in our faith, don't hold our pastors and church authorities accountable, but have the cheek to argue we have the best church in the world, if it's not Church A arguing with Church Q on whose the best, it's denomination vs denomination every church is great, every denomination is great who cares on what church is the best? When we think of the term offering we think of finical donations, but an offering can be a lot of things it can be what we have our focus on, giving gifts to people on their milestones or what we prioritise in our life.  James 2:26  echoes what today's blog is about, our faith that has no works is dead so in liegeman terms our faith is an offering, going to church, giving our offerings & tithes, being in a church group, bringing/evangelising people to Jesus, spreading the word of God, being baptised and whatever we do in our walk with God are all offerings to God it's not always the tithe and offerings we give in our respective churches, our spiritual life are reflections of our offering to God whether we are strong, lukewarm or weak in our faith. So as Christians let's give a great offering to God.  When you think about when God sent Jesus to this earth to die on the cross for us, that was an offering, God creating this world was an offering to us and God blessing us...

  We all have bad habits as Christians it's either they make or break our faith, turns others away from the faith here are the top 5 bad habits we need to eradicate from our walk with God.  Being judgmental We judge others who live in sin, or don't have the same faith we have, being judgmental is a terrible trait to have as we can put others of from giving their life to God, we don't look loving or caring when we judge others.  Coming late to church This is another terrible trait to have we are not late to appointments, work or meeting up with friends so why are we late for God?!   Faith is a natural and supernatural thing, it's natural because we as humans believe that the person driving the bus or the Uber will drive us to our destination, we have natural faith that the food we order from the restaurant will come to us, then you have the supernatural faith that is a spiritual faith God gave us to be healed like the woman who was bleeding for 12 years, who touched Jesus's garment and was healed.  Luke 8:43-48  and then here was Abraham and Sarah who couldn't conceive kids but gave birth to Isaac in  Genesis 21.  Many Christians believe that faith is to only conqueror material blessings but it's not, God primarily gives us faith to be saved, to be baptised in water and the Spirit and to have salvation. Do you remember in the Bible when Jesus destroyed and trashed the temple because the members turned into a market stall?  Matthew 21.  A lot of us Christians do this today we may not be doing cash and carry services in our community but we are doing this spiritually.  I remember I was with my friends and some other youths and we were waiting for our youth service to start we were talking, laughing and joking until our youth pastor came in scathing and rebuking us mentioning Matthew 21 , that we are doing what the people did in the above chapter, we realised we should've been in spirit and sanctified for the sermon. When people think of the term Jezebel they think it's to do with women, a woman made Samuel fall, a woman made Adam eat the apple as this narrative is pushed, but men can also have the spirit of Jezebel it's never a gender-neutral role.  What is the spirit of Jezebel? This is when a believer makes another believer fall, backslide into sin, someone who corrupts their fellow believers or makes them leave the faith, just as the devil can use music, media, careers and other things to make Christians slip up, he can also use fellow Christians.   You know that question atheists ask "if God gave us free will why are we going to hell for our free will?" Once again we are in a society where people don't want to believe in God, but blame God and yet we don't take accountability.  God gave us free will so He can let us live our life so we can find Him for ourselves, you do know if God wanted to He could easily control us, and we would all be robots under His command, see it as university where it's not like school or college where your teachers are not on your case to do your work or assignments, whereas university is like 80% independent study where you're in sole charge of passing your assessments as your tutors leave you to it and barely help you.
