Christian Clout Chaser's

Image
“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”  Luke 18:10-14 I love this story in the Bible because it shows  the current state in our Christian community, where it's easier in a social media , internet and technological society  to be an attention seeker. I'm not here to judge or condemn  but to hold myself and my fellow Christians accountable, because I myself was very extremist  Pharisee.  We're

The Lust's Of This World

Image
For all that is in the world the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions is not from the Father but is from the world. 1st John 2:16 I've been thinking to myself lately and I don't know why, maybe it's God revealing Himself to me. That no lust is worth our salvation, it's all temporary pleasure everyone in this world is looking for that thing that brings them happiness, a high or that sense of belonging. But to break it to you, only the Holy Spirit can give that to you through the 9 fruits it brings as  Galatians 5: 22-23 mentions. Have you ever been in that predicament where you fell into lust?  You had a few minutes of pleasure, then you have that clarity of feeling crap knowing it wasn't worth it then we repent this is what the devil does he want's us to believe that this sin, whether it be sexual immorality, greed, taking drugs or taking part in the secular things of this world will make us so happy but the happiness will we

Affirmations Vs Disney Fairy Tales

Image
What  does it  profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?   If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,  and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what  does it  profit?   Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Jame 2: 14-17 As Christians we love to read into these toxic-positivity movements, where believers think just thinking and speaking positives things means we'll get blessings as if some of us live in a dream world yes affirmations are real! But what's the point in speaking things into existence as Roman's 4:17 states   but not put the work in for it?  I feel we don't separate what's fairy tale and what's realistic, just because the pastor said you'll be  millionaires doesn't mean you'll be a millionaire tomorrow and win the lotter per say. But if you invest

Christian Rap Is Not That Bad!!!!!!!!

Image
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on his opinions.  For   one person   has faith   to eat   all things,   while   another,   who is weak,   eats   only vegetables.   The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him. Roman's 14 1-3   As a Christian rap advocate (as I call myself lol) I get sick and tired of the older generation and the church slandering Christian hip hop. This is one of the things I hate in the Christendom our faith judges the book cover, without reading the book! As the saying goes don't judge a book by it's cover. I started listening to Christian rap around 2007 to 2009 as someone who made the conscience decision to stop listening to most of the mainstream music in today's time as I believed alot of it is demonic, worldly and doesn't correlate with the things of God as alot of Christians do in the beginning of

Let's Honour God In This Lockdown

Image
Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase Proverbs 3:9 As we enter another lockdown, God is calling us more than ever to serve Him as the world is in a pandemic where we don't know when we're coming out of it, the world is getting worse and the end times as Revelation's, prophecies is near and near. With no church and more live streams it's time for us to step up, it's time for us to make our homes the church and be stronger in our faith more than ever.  The devil is licking his lips and rubbing his hands together, because he knows this is an opportunity to trap many Christians, make Christians doubt if God is real. This pandemic is hitting everyone black, white, poor, rich, celebrities, big companies that's been around for 100's of year's, we are all like Job where we are in a rot, but just like God blessed Job 100 fold, He will do the same for us. I won't lie I fell into many of his traps in the last lock

Losing Your Faith

Image
"This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go"  (Joshua 1:9) I'll admit as I write this blog and I confessed in a previous blog that I've lost my faith. I felt like when Job lost everything, I felt frustrated like when Abraham couldn't have a son and I felt like when Jesus was asking God to take this cup away as He cried bitterly before He was crucified. I'm on a journey back to my faith as I've suffered with depression and mental health during this pandemic.  This is not talked about in church and in Christian establishments if you leave the faith you're judged if you speak about your troubles and woes we're told to "just pray" these things happen, not everything is roses and daffodils in the Christian faith. I'll be honest even though my pastor was there for me when I had my last breakdown. I feel not many in my church can help or give me advice of su

God Doesn't Want Your Money

Image
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.   –  2 Corinthians 9:7 There's this silly notion that the church, the pastor or your bishop want's your money, AND IT'S ALL NONESENSE!!!!!! Not all church establishments are scamming their members, not every man of God is dripping in swag and driving the latest sport's cars like some pastors. God want's to see where our hearts are when it comes to our money, if we can put our money in clothes, bills phone contracts and other things let's invest our finances in our church nobody is saying give all your money or half  your salary. But we can contribute to something i.e. cleaning products, equipment, maintenance or something else in our church for example for me, not to boast when I was in the cleaning group of my church for the last 4 years, when I got paid I would spend £5 on cleaning products that was my offering to God plus m

Christianity Vs Christianity

Image
I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe's people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?  1st Corinthians 1:10-13 We live in day and age where there is too much division in the body of Christ. It's either we are arguing whose church is the best? Which preacher is better Paster Micheal Todd or Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo? Or who serves God the most accurate, whether it's Pentecostal, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness or Baptist & so and so on. It's like Team Stark Vs Team Captain America in the Civil War saga in Avengers.  Where there's more varieties and me

God's Jollof

Image
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 DISCLIAMER: This is a fictional story to emphasize the importance of putting God first, none of the events below were real and was inspired by a video called God's pie, here's the link for the video and you'll see where I'm coming from in this article. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upmyrinWq64  God was in the kitchen, cooking the jollof rice and just takes the chicken out of the oven. With the plantain sweet and ripe cut up nicely. 28 year old, well built and dark Femi come's down into the kitchen lays the table and shouts "dinner's ready" Herds of people come down the stairs and all sit at the table Femi's mum say's "God this is really smelling nice" Femi gives two plates of jollof to his friend Finances. He gives a big plate to his family and friends, he gives a plate to his friend Career, he gives a plate to his ot

Pray For Others

Image
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16 We live in a society where it's dog eat dog, and as a Christian there's no love lost in our community where we focus on ourselves, giving God our wish list like He is Santa Clause. Yes we want blessings, answers and healing but what we forget is to pray for others.  We must pray for everyone and anyone, pray for your family, friends, associates, relatives, children's, nieces/nephews, colleagues, the boss who get on your nerves, the customer/client who grinds our gears even our enemies. As I type this I look with regret because I forgot to do that this morning, (Yes I'm guilty you can kill me lol.)   We live in time's where we're in pandemic, suicides are going up unfortunately, unemployment has risen and thing's have been harder and harder with 2020 being the year to forget, even though fr

Lockdown Has Hurt My Faith

Image
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.  Ephesians 4:25 Last month I celebrated 15 years in the faith, but it's been anything but champagne glasses, cheers, smiles and party celebrations. I'm at the weakest I've ever been typing this, I even missed church today and the past 3 weeks. I'm writing this piece so that we as Christians stop hiding behind a facade and admit we have struggles, we cry, we get sad and we get depressed. Let's get professional help, let's use our faith let's use the story of Job as inspiration. We are Christians not robots, IT'S OK TO NOT BE OK SOMETIMES, but let's fight and let God do His power and heal us. For too long we've hid behind the terrors behind mental health and depression, while the government, society and even the church have not done much.  It's time we stand in arms and kick it in it's butt and stand in victory l

Stop Judging

Image
1   “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.   2   For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.   3   “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?   4   How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?   5   You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Matthew 7. 1 - 5 Everyone serves God differently and that's ok that's what makes us unique, you read the Bible from a hard copy, people use an app so what? People are sleeping around in the lusts of fornication while someone like me and you who are keeping ourselves to marriage so what? You go to church some people watch sermons from online streaming so what? You're in your churches youth group, choir or catering group wh

You Don't Have To Lose Your Identity When You Come To Christ

Image
A lot of Christians have an identity crisis when they come to God, before you get offended and start calling me Satan, please read this blog before you get outraged like the Twitter Brigade who want to cancel everyone and anyone. But I can't be cancelled nor can anyone, as grace and favor cancels such **flicks imaginary weave** but that's a topic for another day. And if you do read this blog and think I'm shaking tables please forward this and make a complaint to my bishop. So when I meant some believers lose their identity, I mean we can become boring, performative and believe we have to change ourselves, i.e stop listening to music, only listening to gospel which is not bad but it can be fanatic because not all mainstream music is satanic, they're in church more and forget other commitments, forcing Christianity on others or the one I hate the most seeing us Christians do always over talking about the Bible and the things of God on our social media's ahhhhh ev
